The Henley Art and Craft Guild Christmas exhibition at the Old Fire Station Gallery has some perfect, very reasonably priced gifts on display ranging from pictures to sculptures, jewellery to ceramics, Christmas decorations to beautiful hand painted silk scarves. Prices start from as little as £4.
There are over 170 exhibits from 32 members with new members Rachel Teodorini exhibiting some beautiful jewellery and Carol Crowdy, a feltmaker and spinner exhibiting felt decorations and a wool scarf. We particularly liked the unusual ceramic dishes made by Connie Fielder which are priced from £25.
Alison Pink (pictured above) is exhibiting two of her new rag rug hangings which she made after attending a workshop. The one pictured above was made from many of her old cashmere jumpers which were unfortunately eaten by moths. Alison said, “I was horrified when I found out that the moths had eaten my beautiful jumpers but using them for this has made the situation slightly better.”
The exhibition closes today (Tuesday) at 4pm so pop along before it closes to find something really special that is a one-off and has been made locally.
