Henley Charities Together, an informal, networking forum to assist local charity and community groups to work together for their mutual benefit was relaunched and supported by the Henley Business Partnership last week at the River & Rowing Museum.
Keith Douglas, Chair of the Henley Business Partnership said, “I heard so many fascinating stories this morning at the relaunch meeting and I am sure we all learnt something. Clearly there is great value in all working together.”
At the meeting Phil Chappell (Henley Business Partnership member) volunteered to organise and host a quiz event for charities who would like to share the proceeds. Keith Douglas organises a charity Golf Day for Camp Mohawk each year, (Friday 30 June 2017) and invited other charities to enter teams and share the proceeds pro rata. Reama Shearman from the River & Rowing Musuem also offered to host an event at the River & Rowing Museum featuring a look “behind the scenes” and also provide a Guest Speaker.
