On 29th November 2012 Badgemore Primary School Key Stage 2 children took part in a Jubilee Tree Planting event at Fawley Court.
The event was organised by the Woodland Trust to help create a new local wood as part of the Jubilee Woods Project.
The children were given the opportunity to discover what it feels like to plant a young tree, they enjoyed a variety of learning activities and had fun during the session.
The Woodland Trust’s aim is to increase young people’s understanding and appreciation of trees and woodland, ensuring their enjoyment and protection for future generations. Over the next few years, Badgemore pupils will see the field turn into a young wood.
