Henley will be welcoming a party of special guests over the weekend from our new twin town; Bled in Slovenia for the official Twinning Ceremony and Civic Reception which will be hosted by the Mayor, Liz Hodgkin at the Town Hall on Monday evening (22 April).
A number of other events have been organised for the party around this event. The delegation will enjoy a drinks reception and dinner at Leander on Sunday and on Monday morning the party will take a boat trip from Leander aboard the launch ‘Enchantress’ down to the River & Rowing Museum where they will have lunch and a tour of the museum. Afterwards they will visit Henley College and Gillotts School before having a traditional afternoon tea at Hotel du Vin. To finish off their visit our special guests have been invited by Hobbs of Henley to have a trip on the ‘Waterman’ after the Civic Reception.
