Badgemore Goes Batty!
Henley in Bloom has kindly donated two bat boxes to Badgemore and other primary schools in the area to enable us to participate in the annual event and help promote our wildlife. We are one of just two forest schools in Henley and this sort of initiative fits directly into our curriculum and is a wonderful addition.
The boxes will be fitted to trees at the far end of the playing fields at the rear of the school alongside the Friar Park Estate.
Toad Hall Garden Centre has also kindly donated vegetable seeds in a bid to boost the town’s chances of winning Britain in Bloom. Our pupils will try growing runner beans, tomatoes and onions in the school grounds. We have also planted seed potatoes donated from the Henley in Bloom committee.
