Henley Resident Raise Funds for Camp Mohawk

Henley resident, Adam Pratt (pictured above on the right)  has been raising money for local charity Camp Mohawk

Camp Mohawk is a multi-functional day centre for children with special needs, set in 5 acres of countryside just outside Wargrave near Henley. Throughout the year the centre provides a range of activities, facilities and natural space to encourage children with a variety of special needs to play, socialise and learn in a secure and caring environment.

Adam who is Marketing Director at Argofield Ltd, a company based in Maidenhead specialising in children’s bedroom items, has been raising funds via the organisations website www.pricerighthome.com.

Funds have been collected for Camp Mohawk & another children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star, via an automatic donation scheme on the company’s website. When a customer places an order of £100 or over, a percentage is automatically given to the charities which has resulted in the company recently raising £1065 for each charity.

Last week, Adam, together with Argofield Director, Richard Deamer of Backsideans, Wargrave, presented Centre Manager of Camp Mohawk, Luke Jansen, with a cheque for £1065.00.

Adam says, “As a company we feel it is important to give something back to the local community. We chose to support Camp Mohawk for the fantastic work they do for children all around Oxfordshire and Berkshire. It was our pleasure to present Camp Mohawk with this cheque and we hope to continue to support them for the foreseeable future so they can carry on providing the very best possible facilities for children with special needs”
