MayorMaking1Today the Mayor, Stefan Gawrysiak took the assembly at Rupert House School. The Mayor explained that Henley-on -Thames was a village originally and became a town in 1023. In 1600, Henley town was given a crest.  He also told the children that Henley is linked with the town of Bled in Slovenia which is also famous for its rowing and he has visited Henley’s twin!
