Fright Night Fireworks at Sue Ryder

Lots of families and children turned up in frightening Halloween costumes last night (Sat 26 October) to enjoy the annual Halloween Sue Ryder Fireworks in the grounds of the Nettlebed Hospice organised by the Rotary Club of Henley Bridge and sponsored by Invesco Perpetual.

Olivia Baroni, aged 3 from Emmer Green who dressed up as a cat won the fancy dress competition in the Under 5 category and Mitchell Foster, aged 9 from Kidlington won the over 5 competition dressed as a Mummy.  Sophia and Millie Hughes from Henley were the runners-up in this category dressed up as a bride and bridegroom.

Sue Ryder’s stall was very busy selling glow sticks, hats, ponchos and flashing heart head boppers and families could enjoy some great food and drink from the many food stalls.

The crowds enjoyed the music from the steel band ‘Fiesta’ from Tilehurst before the bonfire was lit and the firework spectacular began.
