February has always been a special time of year for all those in love. It is a time when loved ones go out of their way to show they care. And that’s just what Phil and Gill Chappell encouraged local people to do in Henley. Lindsay McLoughlin of Proofed By Linds did the same and made an extra effort to show how much she is appreciated and loved locally and has won the title as the ‘Most Loved’ business in Henley-on-Thames.
The Local & Loved awards saw the best businesses across the UK go head to head to earn the title of ‘The Most Loved Business in the UK’. For the 14 days leading up to Valentine’s Day consumers had the chance to review their favourite local businesses reinvigorating and raising the profile of their local community. During the competition tens of thousands of reviews were added equating to one every 11 seconds as the contest reached its crescendo. The locals here in Henley-on-Thames really done their bit too.
As well as winning the title of Most Loved Business in Henley-on-Thames, Proofed By Linds came second as the Most Loved Copywriter in the UK. Having led this category during the whole of the 14 days, Lindsay was very unlucky to lose out at the very last to another business based in Wrexham.
Lindsay was presented with her awards yesterday at thebestofhenleyonthames networking lunch at The Anchor pub on Friday street.
Phil and Gill of thebestofhenleyonthames had this to say about Lindsay and her business “Proofed By Linds”
“Lindsay proved to be a very popular winner receiving many wonderful testimonials. “
After receiving the awards Lindsay said, “I was delighted to receive ‘Best Loved Business’ award for Henley on Thames. I provide a copywriting, editing and blogging service to clients in/around the Henley area. My thanks to my clients who very kindly voted for me. To be runner-up in the UK’s ‘Best Loved Copywriter’ award was icing on the cake!”
Lindsay has also been shortlisted for two separate awards in the UK Blog Awards 2014 and the award ceremony for this is taking place tonight in London. (Friday 25 April) . Good luck Linsday.
