Round Table Trip to Bourges, France

Seventeen people from Henley Round Table went to Bourges, France for an international Round Table twinning event. There were 100 people in attendance, consisting of Tablers and their partners from 9 European countries and India.

There was a tour of the Sancerre wine region and a black tie gala dinner at a 14th century hall in Bourges.

The French were fantastic hosts and welcomed people into their homes, entertained and educated everyone about their wonderful food, wine and champagne.

All those that attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a great opportunity to meet new and old friends….a real sense of fellowship.

The twinning event called “00” (because all the numbers of the respective Round Tables end in “00”) runs annually and next year will be in Helsingborg, Sweden in May 2015.
