Last night at a prestigious ceremony at the Oxford Town Hall Shaun Dickens at The Boathouse won two awards in the Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards 2014. The Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards 2014 are a county-wide event that sees restaurants, pubs and cafes anonymously reviewed and final judging carried out by a committee headed up by Alain Desenclos – former Maître d’ of Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir.
Shaun Dickens at The Boathouse won the Best Gastronomic Restaurant category and also the overall Oxfordshire Restaurant of the Year. In both categories the restaurant was up against some strong competition including Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons where Shaun was a chef.
Shaun said afterwards, “It was our first entry for these awards and it’s phenomenal that we have won both these awards. I am absolutely delighted and would like to thank my wife and all the team for their amazing support.”
