Inca Accountants named South West’s Best Independent Practice at the British Accountancy Awards

The specialist small-business accountancy firm, Inca Accountants who have an office in Henley, has proudly won a national award at the 2018 British Accountancy Awards, securing the South West of England’s Best Independent Practice Award.

The annual British Accountancy Awards celebrate excellence in accountancy and finance management, recognising professional development and highlighting the firms that have demonstrated excellence in their profession. The awards are considered the most prestigious in the accounting industry.

Inca Accountants is a certified chartered accountancy practice that prides itself on providing a caring, friendly, and professional service that puts the best interests of clients first. With offices in Henley, Wantage and a virtual office in Oxford, Inca has a dedicated team of 17 employees (plus Varney the office spaniel!) and specialises in accounting support and business advice for start-ups, small businesses and private individuals throughout Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Graham Carson of Inca Accountants said: “Many of our clients are just starting a new business or going self-employed for the first time. It’s an exciting time for them, but can also be very stressful, especially as the national average states that only one in five start-ups make it to their fifth birthday. We’re very proud to say that 63.9% of start-ups we work with make it to their firth birthday and beyond. We fundamentally believe we are the best practice for small to micro businesses and start-ups in Oxfordshire and Berkshire and want to help more businesses achieve their goals.”

Lesley Carson, senior accountant and majority owner of Inca added: “We recognise that a motivated team who love what they do, where they work and the people they work with, will result in a productive team. This is exactly how Inca operates and it’s really nice to have this ethos reinforced by winning this award. In truth we were delighted to one of the six finalists shortlisted for the award, and so to be announced as the winner for the entire South West region is just incredible.”

This year’s winners were announced at an awards ceremony held at the Grovesnor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. The awards ceremony was hosted by Mock of the Week star Josh Widdecombe, and was attended by over 800 guests from throughout the UK.
