Coronavirus – Phyllis Court Club Closes in Line With Government Ruling

In accordance with the Government’s coronavirus (COVID-19) announcement on Friday that all pubs, restaurants, theatres, leisure centres should close, Phyllis Court Club have temporarily closed the Clubhouse and Fitness Centre until further notice.

Club Chairman, Stan Ainsley said, “These are unprecedented times for all but it’s an opportunity for the community of our Club to come together for each other. Many Members have kindly stepped forward to offer help to other more vulnerable Members and some Interest Group initiatives have started to create social events using technology.”

The Club will continue to offer meals, wine, food and provisions for collection or delivery. The hotel bedrooms have been closed.

From today (Monday 23 March) members can order take-away meals, freshly prepared meals to cook or freeze, wine, essential food provisions (eggs, milk, vegetables, bread) if you live within the RG9 postcode.

The tennis courts and croquet lawns along with rowing, kayaking and boating provision are now closed too.
