Fairmile Vineyard Joins in English Wine Night
The Fairmile Vineyard are taking part in The Thames & Chilterns Region English Wine Night tomorrow, Friday (5 June).
They would have taken part in the Wine & Food Festival at Brightwell Vineyard where members of the public would have had the unique opportunity to taste, compare and buy award-winning local wines in one beautiful location. The event allows visitors to meet winemakers, growers and a Master of Wine specialising in English wines and learn more about the grape varieties that do well in our climate and grow successfully in the region. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, and like many other events this year’s event has been cancelled.
English Wine Night has been created by Wines of Great Britain and each Friday, a different region is showcased online. The event starts at 7pm and you can join in using the hashtag #EnglishWineNight on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. There’s competition to win 6 bottles of wine by uploading a photo on Instagram with #EnglishWineNight. WineGB and winemakers will be online throughout the hour to respond and join in the conversation.
Jan Mirkowski from Fairmile Vineyard said, “I’d like to think that Henley residents’ appetite for quality English wine has been whetted by Fairmile Vineyard. If people have not yet sipped our bubbly or visited Fairmile Vineyard, English Wine Night will provide a means to safely do both. Readers of the Henley Herald will also be impressed to see footage from other splendid vineyards nearby – all worth a real visit once conditions permit.”
