With Henley’s Christmas Festival being cancelled, Leander Club has decided to bring some festive cheer to Henley by hosting its first Christmas Market between 16-20 December.
The market will only include local tradespeople and crafters to showcase their local produce, hot food and gifts in Leander’s beautiful riverside grounds. The market is open to everyone and will be open daily from 5-9 pm Wednesday to Friday and from midday–9 pm on Saturday and to 6 pm on Sunday.
Live musical entertainment will add to the Christmas market’s atmosphere. Visitors wishing to stay and enjoy the music will be able to book a covered table outdoors for eating and drinking.
There is an entry fee of £5 per person on the door with half the proceeds going to a local charity to be decided. Numbers will be limited to ensure safe social distancing.
General Manager Al Heathcote says “It’s been a challenging year for so many people. We hope the Christmas market will bring some cheer to the town, as well as provide support for small businesses by offering them a new platform to be able to trade at a low cost to themselves.”
Traders can enquire for pitch booking by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
