Improving Community Services in Oxfordshire – Public Engagement Launched

A project is underway across the NHS and local authorities to improve community services in the county. Part of this work is the development of 12 principles that will shape how the design and develop services for our ageing population. These are still in draft and Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group are keen to hear what people who live or work in Oxfordshire think about them.

As such, a period of public engagement has been launched this week to seek views of the wider public. A section on the OCCG website will hold all relevant information for the project and will help direct people to how to get involved. A document setting out the approach to the project and inviting people to get involved has been published here. This includes reference to what has been heard from previous projects and poses some questions for people to respond to.

For this initial piece of engagement work, responses are invited by 10 October 2021.

Diane Hedges, deputy chief executive of Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “The partners in this major project have looked at what people have already told us, patients and staff to develop and shape the design and development of services for our ageing population.”
