Henley Offshore Group Returns to Face to Face Meetings
Henley Offshore Group is returning to face to face meetings in October and has scheduled a series of monthly talks.
The group is open to anyone interested in offshore sailing and boating, whether they own boats or not. There are also opportunities for non boat owners to sail with other members. A full schedule of talks by speakers eminent in the boating world take place once a month on the second Wednesday of the month at Henley Rugby Club.
The first live talk will be held on Wednesday 13 October commencing at 8pm (doors open at 7:30)
Ben Sutcliffe will be giving a talk on Surveying Beyond The Crystal Ball
In this his light hearted but informative discussion Ben will talk about the importance of understanding your craft and why you need a marine survey. Ben is a time served boat builder and for the last 30 plus years has surveyed a vast range of craft. He also writes regularly for Practical Boat Owner and Yachting Monthly and has a page bi-monthly in the inland water way’s publication Towpath Talk.
Whether you have a boat or not Ben’s talk promises to be a very interesting and eye opening evening for anyone interested in boating. There is no charge to non members who attend this meeting.
