Residents Drop-in to Ask Questions About Draft Neighbourhood Plan

Residents got the opportunity on Friday and Saturday to ask questions about the revised draft Joint Harpsden & Neighbourhood Plan which is out for public consultation until 1 November 2021 at the Drop-in sessions at the Town Hall.

As well as exhibiting the policies for the revised Neighbourhood Plan which include transport and the environment, the exhibition outlined the details of the 2 new housing sites put forward for the revised plan.  The two sites are the Chiltern Centre off Greys Road for 3 dwellings and a new site on Highlands Farm for a mixed use site including 110 dwellings, (affordable and community-led social housing), employment and community facilities including land for a new Chiltern Centre.

Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Committee Ken Arlett said, “Visitors to the drop in sessions put the Neighbourhood Plan Committee through their paces with questions about conservation, sustainability and transport. Thank you to everyone who came in to see us. The consultation on the Draft Plan is open. Every piece of feedback that we received is carefully considered, so please do go ahead and fill in your survey now. If you have not yet engaged with the plan, you can view it online at jhhnp.org.uk, we also have reference copies in the Town Hall or at Henley Library.”
