Hillary Dancer New Abstract Cityscapes Artist at Artistry Gallery

This month at Artistry Gallery and Picture Framing Hillary Dancer is their latest new artist to exhibit her work at the shop on Reading Road.

Hillary creates beautiful semi abstract cityscapes and some beautiful impressionist figurative work. Capturing light colour and movement with every stroke, the energy in her work is clearly visible and her paintings seem to depict the man made world at its best.

We are surrounded by buildings and what effectively could be seen as concrete jungles and yet we know these places are now intrinsically linked with human habitation, life and work. There is a softness in her compositions and a feeling of the lost and found and yet, as the light bounces off the buildings they are strong and almost appear to be alive.

There is also new work in by Catherine Ingleby, Clare Buchta and Sarah Pye.

Artistry gallery is part of the Henley Arts Trail this year. We are venue number 13 and many of our artists will have brought in new work ready for the May Bank Holiday Trail weekend. The gallery will be open for looking, buying and framing 10 am until 5 pm during the arts trail. www.henleyartstrail.com
