Programme of Events for Queen’s Jubilee Weekend
It’s a right royal long weekend in Henley to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Many residents are joining together for street parties and Henley Town Council have organised a Jubilee picnic on Sunday with music on the bandstand as well as other events on Thursday and Saturday.
Over 20 shops in town have decorated their windows for the Jubilee which include corgis, red arrows, gold coaches and more. The Mayor will be judging the windows on Friday (3 June) and will be awarding a prizes to the winners and runners-up.

Thursday 2 June
8am-2pm: Jubilee Charter Market
2pm: Town Crier reads the Proclamation.
From 3pm SOHA organised event at Makins Recreation Ground
9.40pm: Join Alan Aston plays ‘Majesty’ prior to the lighting of the Beacon at Makins Recreation Ground
9.45pm: Lighting of the Jubilee Beacon
Saturday 4 June
Music on the Bandstand at Mill Meadows
Noon – 2pm: Rushmore Concert Band
Music in the Market Place
1.30pm – 3pm: Saxcelerate – saxophone octet.
Sunday 5 June
11am – 6pm: Join us for a Jubilee Picnic on Mill Meadows
Enjoy a family day out at Mill Meadows, bring a picnic or pick up some delicious food and drinks from the Piazza or one of the street food vendors. Enjoy live music at the bandstand or visit the River & Rowing Museum or children’s play areas. The Adventure Golf will be crowning the highest scorers of the day – could you be the King/Queen of Adventure Golf?
