Biggest Beer Festival Yet

The beer was flowing on Saturday at the Henley Beer Festival at Henley Rugby Club at Dry Leas, with 30+ beers and ciders to choose from.  The event was sponsored by local brewery, Loddon Brewery and the beers/ciders were from to local breweries to Henley and local to Barnes in London who the Hawks were playing in the afternoon.

Musical live entertainment was provided by Billy Green, Aby P, Josie Lunnon and The Reason and children could you enjoy the bouncy slide provided by Sploj (Sam Williams).

Southern Plant, another sponsor brought a group of customers and friends.  Kevin from Southern Plant said, “It’s always a great day out to try some new beers and support this great local community event and the club.”

On the pitch, the Hawks beat Barnes 29-12 to go second in the National League 2 East.

Alistair Beynon, HRFC Commercial Manager said, “This year’s Henley Beer Festival was the biggest one yet in terms of turnout and money generated. It was a wonderful day which was capped off with a Hawks bonus point win. A huge thanks to Mike Crook and his team for organising such a fantastic event, it’s certainly become one of the highlights in the Henley Rugby Club calendar and we’re looking forward to next year’s already.”
