Situation Vacant – Marketing and Audience Development Manager

The Kenton Theatre is a stunning Georgian building which first opened in November 1805 with the play The School of Reform or How to Rule a Husband by Thomas Morton and is one of the oldest working theatres in the UK. This is an exciting time for the Kenton Theatre as the charity recovers from lockdown and seeks to expand the reach of its artistic and community programme into new areas, welcoming new audiences to this historically important venue.

The Kenton Theatre is operated by the Kenton Theatre Management Society, a registered charity, and is managed by a professional team supported by a large number of volunteers.

As we expand our reach we are seeking to appoint a Marketing and Audience Development Manager to further develop our brand identity, engagement, and publicity activity with the aim of making the Kenton Theatre more accessible to a more diverse audience. The perfect candidate will be creative, strategic and revenue-focussed, leading on the venue’s marketing, communications, box office sales and campaign management. On a day-to-day basis they will look after in-house show campaigns, venue-wide campaigns, sales, and support visiting companies with their show publicity.
