Swimmers Present Large Cheque to Chiltern Centre

A large cheque of £1833.29 was presented by Mike Whitworth of Swim to Live this week to The Chiltern Centre.

The Swim to Live group of 20 swimmers completed a 10km swim challenge at Henley Leisure Centre in December.  They started this Christmas charity challenge in 2014 and returned last year after a 2 year break because of Covid.   The Swim to Live group swim 3 times a week, two in public sessions and one a closed group session early in the mornings at the Leisure Centre.

The Chiltern Centre provides respite care for young people with disabilities.  Ruth Siddorn, Community Fundraiser at The Chiltern Centre said, “The Chiltern Centre would like to thank Swim to Live and everyone who swam for their support this year. The centre relies heavily on the kind generosity of our local community to keep running, and we are so grateful for such an incredible donation from Swim to Live.”

Mike Whitworth said, “We were delighted to handover the cheque to The Chiltern Centre on behalf of Swim to Live 10k charity swim  and meet the dedicated team and the young adults they support.”
