Simon & Garfunkel Story – An Amazing Evening of Story & Songs

Last December life was busy and cold and we wanted something to look forward to … we agreed with some friends to book The Simon and Garfunkel Story at the Kenton Theatre.  At the box office the helpful lady recommended seats and tickets were booked.

The evening was amazing – we were taken through the years of Simon and Garfunkel the singers (William Sharp and Oliver Cave) told the story interspersed with songs (including Mrs Robinson and Homeward Bound) all sung so well.  The story told of their humble beginnings as Tom and Jerry to their great success as Simon and Garfunkel.  We were surprised but delighted to hear that Bridge over Troubled Waters is the best-selling single of all time.

We were wondering when they were going to sing it!  No worries we were given a brilliant encore and heard the famous song – it was amazing and many people gave a standing ovation.

What an incredible evening.  Thank you to the Kenton Theatre for such an enjoyable evening.  If you have the chance to book The Simon and Garfunkel story if they come back to the Kenton – do!

The Voice of Angel was used to describe one of the singers and when talking with a friend who was also there, we both agreed that this description was so true.

Following the concert, we finished our evening by going for relaxed drinks at the The Relais – we felt fortunate to have such lovely venues in Henley.

A most enjoyable evening.
