Date Set for Biggest & Most Exciting Regatta for Disabled Yet

Following the success of previous Regatta for the Disabled events, this year’s day out on Saturday 2 September will hold so many more exciting things to do and see for disabled and able bodied people, their friends, family and carers.

Taking place in the Paddock at Phyllis Court Club, Henley, R4D will be organising a racing challenge for teams in bell boats on the River Thames.  Put a team together representing your organisation or simply round up a group of friends and compete in this ever popular event.  It’s great fun, and your team may even win a medal at the end of the day! The nature of this event means we are very keen to ensure we have a significant proportion of able and disabled team participants.

There will be plenty to see and do with an abundance of land activities too.  Listen to lively music from the PCC Ukulele band, try your hand on the Ergo machines, Soft Archery and much much more.  There will be food and music, inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, a climbing wall and some local trade stands  – with professional supervision and interaction for all.

There is ample parking and the event opens at 10.00 to 4.00pm.  Entry is £5 per person – Carers – free  Children under 4 years – free.

Rivertime, a passenger boat especially adapted for wheelchairs will be running regular river trips throughout the day with boats from Hobbs also providing free trips on the Thames.

Regatta for the Disabled is a long established event and every year we include activities that are accessible to all.  So, come along and enjoy the fun.  Enjoy activities in the Paddock, relax on a river trip or enter a bell boat team.  R4D – a great day out for all the family!!!
