Chiltern Centre Host Community Artisan Fayre

The Chiltern Centre hosted an Artisan Fayre at Bix Manor on Tuesday this week with a lovely range of local stallholders to raise money for the charity.
Visitors could sample the delights from The Henley Distillery and Fairmile Vineyard whilst browsing the stalls from HoT Creative homeware, Emma Alington ceramics, Stephanie Emma Catering cakes and bakes, Henley Larder, Hot footed Shoes, The Lancaster Company and Lords Fragrance House, Boho Henley, Ledbury Letterpress and Laughing at Lark.

Rebecca Jones from Ledbury Letterpress said, “It is lovely to come back here after doing several fayres for the Chiltern Centre here and elsewhere.  I first came because my friend was on the committee.  It such a lovely charity to support.”

Cheryl Purver, Chiltern Centre Fundraiser said, “It was wonderful to be invited to host a charity event at the beautiful Bix Manor one last time before its closure. The setting is truly magical and something that all of our visitors commented on.   It is a privilege to be able to showcase some local enterprises in such idyllic surroundings.  It is vital to the Centre to keep raising awareness around what we do for the young adults we care for and continue to raise funds. However, a successful event for me incorporates the opportunity to celebrate our local businesses and our wonderful community which is exactly what happened. The stallholders formed new connections with us and with each other and there was a real sense of togetherness. It’s what community is all about and we are so lucky to always have the unwavering support of this community and our friends whether old or new.  It was Henley at its best.”
