Cat Noble received her BA (Hons) Glass at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham.  She is primarily a glass artist but also creates pieces with Ceramics, Metal and Textiles - Reflections is her first solo exhibition.  Cat takes her inspiration from the natural world around her, preferring curves and texture which emphasise flow and movement rather than straight and clean cut lines.  "I like to take my initial inspiration from an object like a leaf but then change the colour, size or texture to create something unique."  Come and see Cat's glass leaf installation and rust dyed prints and pick up a small piece of cast glass for the first 50 people.  Cat will be present throughout the exhibition and will be happy to chat to people about her work and process.

The power and abundance of the countryside is their motivation and inspiration, but artists Jan Marshall and June Hiscock choose to express their love of nature in very different ways.  While Jan's intricate drawings, prints and canvases explore the atmosphere, tones and patterns in the natural world, June's bold and colourful fabric art celebrates its vibrant hues and textures - often with some gentle humour.

Collaborating for the first time in this 'Second Nature' exhibition, Jan and June present a varied, fresh and highly original range of their favourite current work.

In this exhibition Guild members will be showing paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture which will have been selected by an external selector (usually a local art dealer or teacher).  This often results in a very vibrant but harmonious exhibition with the very best of the Guilds work on display.

For further information about the Guild and our exhibitions please visit www.henley-arts.org or look at our facebook page Henley Arts and Crafts Guild.

Michael Harris has exhibited internationally.  His new body of work is a photographic study of vintage lead cast toys, much loved but often confined to the attic.  They are rarely recognised for their unwavering and selfless service to childhood dreams.

Phill Burrows, illustrator, artist and published author, adds another body of work, this time using mixed media.  This is a world that evokes memories, reflects nature and life.  Often decorative, sometimes humerous and occasionally thought provoking.
