Have you always wanted to write a novel but don’t know where to start? Or have you started but can’t see a way to finish? Do you long to see your name on a novel?

Our popular workshop is for you if you are starting out as a writer, if you've always wanted to write a novel but don't know how to begin or if you've written the beginnings of a novel but it's in the drawer.

On this full-day, intensive workshop, you will learn how to navigate the journey to becoming a published novelist, from first words to first draft. This course is led by author Susanna Beard, whose psychological thrillers Dare to Remember and The Truth Waits are published by Legend Press. She will be supported by writer Jan Stannard.

£99 including tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake.

An illustrated talk in aid of the Hall and St Nicholas Church Remenham given by passionate plants women Patricia Thirion and Janet Honour who have given each other a unique insight into the garden traditions of their respective countries.  Their first experiences of gardening could not have been more different:  Patricia grew up in a fifth floor apartment in Paris with a balcony garden consisting of a few geraniums, while Janet discovered the delights of gardening at a very early age 'helping' her father in the family garden in Staines, Middlesex, at every opportunity.  The co-designers met at Capel Manor College whilst studying garden design and went on to create 6 gardens at Chelsea Flower Show, which is the subject of their illustrated talk.  They will describe the joys and challenges of exhibiting at Chelsea using mainly their 'Christian before Dior' garden as a typical example to explain what is involved.

The talk will be from 8.00pm to 9.00pm with an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

Tickets £10.00 to include a complimentary glass of wine/soft drink, cup of tea or coffee on arrival.
