The Henley College Hosts ‘Partner School Day’
Year 11 students from The Henley College’s four local partner schools were welcomed on Thursday 15 November to experience a taste of College life.
The students from Gillotts School, Icknield Community College, Chiltern Edge School and Langtree School were greeted by College Principal Tom Espley and enjoyed taster lessons in subjects of their choice.
One visiting student commented: ‘I had a fantastic day and it was great to try some of the different lessons on offer for next year. Henley College is for me!’
Another student added: ‘Henley College was good. I really wish I had a picture of me dressed up as a forensic person!’
The College also welcomed year 9 students as part of its Gifted and Talented programme. Impressively, in just a few hours, the group produced a short but highly entertaining silent movie which will be shared on the College website soon.
Dave Lamont, Head of School Liaison at the College said: ‘Teaching staff thoroughly enjoyed Partner School Day and were delighted by the energy, enthusiasm and ideas shared in lessons.
‘As a College we are very proud of our longstanding relationships with our four partner schools, and we look forward to welcoming many of the students back in September as they begin their studies at the College.’
