New Bike Course for Triathlon Announced

After several months of consultation Just Racing announced yesterday the final route for the bike course for the Challenge Henley Triathlon taking place on 8 September.

As in previous years, the bike route will begin at Henley Business School, heading towards Henley and passing the eventual finish area at Phyllis Court Club.  Riders will then turn away from Henley and into the Chiltern Hills via the Fairmile.

When reaching the roundabout at Nettlebed, athletes will turn left along the B481 and continue along through Highmoor.  The riders will then turn left into Greys Road and a right turn at the War Memorial at Greys Green going through the village of Rotherfield Greys to the first turn point just before Gillotts Lane.  The riders will then retrace the route back up to the Nettlebed roundabout.

At the Nettlebed roundabout the riders will then turn left along the A4130 until they turn left just past Huntercombe Golf Club and through Morgan’s Wood to the second turn point. They will then return back to the A4130 and take a left turn through Huntercombe End joining the B481 (heading north towards Watlington), up Howe Hill and then back to the roundabout at Nettlebed. The riders will complete 3 laps of this course with a turning point at the bottom of the Fairmile.

The roads will be closed from 6am-6pm for the cycling route.
