If you love to sing, love choral music and love opera then Henley Choral Society invites you to come and sing the magnificent Verdi Requiem under the direction of inspirational conductor Will Dawes. There are no auditions. Singers joining the Verdi Requiem Workshop are also invited to attend a number of additional rehearsals and then take part in a performance of the Verdi Requiem at the Concert Hall, Reading, on Saturday 8th June 2013, with Henley Choral Society, Southern Sinfonia and a stellar cast of soloists: Sophie Bevan, Soprano; Kate Symonds-Joy, Mezzo-Soprano; David Butt Philip, Tenor; James Oldfield Bass. 2013 is Verdi’s bicentenary – don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to sing this giant of the choral repertoire!
£15.00 early-bird booking for the Workshop before 31st March 2013. £20.00 after that date or on the door. Score hire included in price or bring your own (preferably Ricordi Edition.) The Workshop is FREE for all under 25’s.
