Family Mini Tennis Tournament

TennisClubHenley Tennis Club, after the great success of last year’s Minilympics, are pleased to announce a new free family event to encourage junior tennis locally. They are calling it the ‘Family Mini Tennis Tournament’ and are also taking the opportunity of having an official opening ceremony for their new clubhouse, and also other new facilities such as our new purpose built ‘orange grade’ Mini Tennis court. Furthermore they are presenting, for one day only, a fascinating History of Tennis Exhibit with donated memorabilia from various sources and a tennis fashion quiz.

All this and more on Saturday 8 June from 10am to 1pm.

The Family Mini Tennis Tournament is open to families locally and consists of doubles teams of parents and juniors (between 7 and 11).tennis-old

The Mayor of Henley has kindly agreed to perform the opening ceremony with a guest of honour from the local Henley College who have been supportive to the club over the years.

They also have the idea of possibly extending the idea of tennis fashion history by having a mini match in old tennis wear and using old racquets. If you have any suitable (but not priceless!) memorabilia you can lend them for the day which they will look after, and for any further information you can contact Allen Levy @ allenlevy27@hotmail.com.
