Despite the rainy weather on Saturday afternoon lots of people turned out for the Shiplake Wild West Summer Fayre. Attractions included Go Karts, a Doggy Showdown, a display of Classic Cars including a US Police Car, Tin Can Alley, and a Bucking Bronco, which proved very popular once it got going (the wet weather had caused problems to the electrics!).
The Fayre was opened by the school’s Drumming Club and was followed by the Wacky Wheels parade and then a brilliant line dancing performance by the children which they did without any help from a teacher. The Doggy Showdown proved popular and included many classes including the dog with the waggiest tail which was won by Toby Mynott and his dog Mac (pictured above). There was also fun team races and to finish a Tug of War.
Money raised from the Fayre will go to Shiplake Primary and Shiplake Village Nursery.
