College Maths Student Solves Puzzle

Henley College Maths student Will Manson recently claimed second prize in a competition run by the Mathematical Gazette.

Now in his second year of A Level at the College, Will, who is part of the College’s Gifted & Talented Academy, was one of only 11 students in the entire country to solve the Student Problems challenge in the title.

Produced by the Mathematical Association, the Mathematical Gazette is of the most popular journals in the field, with a readership of school teachers, college and university lecturers, educationalists and others with an interest in the subject.

A spokesperson for the Gazette described Will as ‘a very talented mathematician who deserves great credit.’
