Kristian Samyui-Adams will be cycling just over 80 miles across the rolling Hampshire countryside and South Downs to raise money for Sacred Heart Preschool on Sunday 14 July where his daughter has had a fantastic time. She will be moving to Sacred Heart Primary school in September.
The event itself is called a Sportive, which means, although it is not a race, everyone is encouraged to set a time to beat. Kristian says, “My time will be five hours and 15 minutes, which means holding an average speed of just over 16 miles an hour; not easy with a number of pesky hills to climb!”
Kristian is hoping to raise £200 for Sacred Heart Pre-School. If you would like to donate please go to
Update 23 August
Unfortunately Kris was unable to do the original race on 14 July due to personal reasons. He did however complete the Southern Sportive Woodlands Chiltern’s Classic on 18 August and raised £150 for the pre-school. Kris said, “The ride was pretty tough but I got round.”
