Niumai Hamilton-Peach has been appointed the new head teacher at its Christ Church Centre nursery. Niumai has over Niumai Hamilton-Peach15 years experience after qualifying as a Montessori teacher at the St Nicholas Montessori Centre in London and has since completed her Bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education.

Dragonflies Montessori School has recently been awarded MEAB (Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board) accreditation. The accreditation required rigorous assessment and evaluation to ensure the school fully meets stringent criteria for compliance with Montessori methodology and approach. The Montessori philosophy for teaching and developing early years children encourages ‘learning by doing’ using a variety of self-selected educational activities in the classroom; it takes a holistic view in order to develop the whole child.

Dragonflies Montesori School operates two nurseries in the centre of Henley-on-Thames; both are open Monday to Friday during term time, children can join from the age of 2 years.

An open afternoon is scheduled on Thursday 12th September at its Christ Church nursery, from 1pm to 4pm. All parents and their children are welcome to drop in; it is a great opportunity to find out more about Montessori and what the school has to offer. There are still some places available for the Autumn term.
