The Henley Decorative and Fine Arts Society (HEDFAS) recently presented three Art students from The Henley College with prizes for excellence. The students each received a certificate and a cheque for £50 from Dory Thompson, Area Vice-Chair of The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS).

Works by Elena Real-Davies, Sasha Sing and Luke Simmonds had previously been put forward for possible display at an exhibition at London’s Mall Galleries in March 2014, organised by NADFAS and Royal the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA).

Last year 87 schools presented 465 pieces of artwork to the RBA and just 20 students were chosen to show their work, including former Henley College student, Danny Leyland. The Henley College will again be represented in 2014, with Elena Real-Davies’ piece recently being chosen for the RBA’s annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries from 5 – 15 March 2014.
