Save Townlands Primroses

primrosesOver the years many primroses have seeded on the Townlands Hospital site and this has given much pleasure to the residents of Henley.  Before the demolition works start the Friends of Townlands Hospital would like to save these primroses and when the new hospital is built to re-plant them as a community project.

Councillor Liz Hodgkin, a member of the Friends of Townlands Hospital is organising the primrose gardening session on Saturday 26 April from 10.00am.   The ‘Friends’ would like to save as many primroses as possibly and are appealing to Henley residents to come along on the Saturday with 10 x 12 inch plant pots filled with compost, gloves, a fork and a trowl.  They are then asking residents to take the flowers home and look after them and then bring them back in two years time to re-plant them.

Please come along and support this great community event.
