Mayor Enjoys His Last Day Playing Tennis

The Mayor, Stefan Gawrysiak spent some of his last day in office at the Henley Tennis Club playing tennis with familys who were there enjoying the Mini Tennis family day the club had organised.

It was great to see so many families enjoying the great facilities at the club in Tilebarn close.  Allan Levy who organised the day said, “We were a bit worried about the weather but it’s turned out alright, if a bit breezy and I am really pleased to see lots of children picking up a racquet and having a go today.”

The tennis club now has five all weather courts and a great clubhouse which was opened last year with some Olympic legacy funding.  Colin Main, the Junior coach was there yesterday giving advice to the children. He runs regular children’s coaching and holiday sessions at the club.
