Henley Based TV Production Company Announces Film Competition to Discover ‘Why I Love Henley’

Henley based TV Production Company, The Living Room, has announced a competition entitled ‘Why I Love Henley’. Open to Henley residents and anyone working or studying in Henley of all ages, entrants must send a short film of up to 2 minutes long, creatively demonstrating in their own pictures & words just why they love Henley. The Living Room will then edit the best of all the films into one single film, showcasing just why Henley is such a great place to live, work and study in, told through the eyes of the people of Henley themselves.

The competition from The Living Room is being run in partnership with Henley Town Council, the Henley Herald and the Regal Picturehouse. Martin Akehurst, the new Mayor of Henley commented, “This is an excellent idea which has my full support. I know people around the world who tell me Henley has something unique. This project should be great fun, I’m certainly making a video and I know residents and visitors will make some imaginative and creative contributions”.

The final ‘Why I Love Henley’ film from The Living Room will be screened at the Henley Regal Picturehouse on Saturday 11 October. Attendance will be by VIP invite and include filmmakers and Henley dignitaries, with the Mayor of Henley as guest of honour. Prizes for the best individual film entry and runners up will be presented at the clapperboardscreening.

Films can be shot on any format, including mobile phones, so the competition is truly open to everyone: all you have to be is passionate about Henley and tell us why in your own 2 minute film.

Entries must be submitted by Friday 29 August 2014, with the winners announced on Friday 26th September, with the final screening in October.
