Great Music Too at Henley Fringe

Local musicians the Crossfire Hurricanes and Naomi Vallance are performing at the Henley Fringe tonight and tomorrow night.  Not been to a Henley Fringe show yet this week?  Love music?  These two acts, both back by popular demand, promise to be a great night out for music fans.

crossfire-hurricanesCrossfire Hurricanes, named after the lyric from the Rolling Stones Jumping Jack Flash song, just love to get the audience rocking to Rolling Stones anthems – Brown Sugar, Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Woman, Tumblin’ Dice to name just a few. They’re however not just a Rolling Stones tribute band (they certainly don’t look or dress like them) their set also includes some great stuff from other Rock ‘n Rollers including Chuck Berry.

Even though the quartet are getting on in years, they still know how to turn up the sound and rock the house – they have real passion, spirit and above all, big rock ‘n roll hearts.  Paul Cleverly, guitarist said, “We really pleased to be performing at Lovibonds as it has a reputation for great music and there’s plenty of room for people to either sit, stand or dance. We’re really looking forward to it.”

The Crossfire Hurricanes will be performing at Lovibonds in Greys Road car park tonight (Friday 25 July) and tomorrow night (Saturday 26 July) from 9pm.

Back for the third year at the Fringe, local girl, Naomi Vallance, just loves to sing and perform. She’ll definitely have you smiling and singing along. You will be treated to jazzy ballards, rock ‘n roll, pop covers and someNaomi-Ukee-332x205 of her own songs. She was awarded the Performer of the Year 2013 at the Sue Ryder Women of Achievements Awards earlier this year in recognition of her star quality. A member of Sam Brown’s International Ukulele Club of Sonning Common she also loves to accompany herself on her little ukulele.

Don’t miss Naomi, she’s on at The Three Tuns pub in Market Place tonight (Friday 25 July) between 10-11pm and tomorrow night (Saturday 26 July) between 9-10pm.
