Principal, Lisa Drage of Dragonflies Montessori School in Henley has been elected onto the board of the Oxfordshire Schools Forum (OSF) as the sole representative for Early Years providers from the private, voluntary and independent sector. She will also be joining the board of the Oxfordshire Early Years working group. The OSF includes Head teachers and School Governors from all the Schools (Primary and Secondary) Academies and Colleges across Oxfordshire and the Officers from the County Council. Lisa’s term of office begins in January 2015.
Lisa said, “I am delighted to be on the Board as I feel passionately about Early Years education; the role will enable me to advocate the importance of an inclusive pre-school education, such as Montessori, in preparation for primary school. I am also interested and keen to be involved with the policies of the local authority and the links with Central Government.”
Dragonflies Montessori School comprises of two nursery settings, firstly at 4 Norman Avenue, a beautiful Victorian home in central Henley-on-Thames, where the school was first established in 2005 and secondly, since 2012, from Haymes Hall, part of the Christ Church Centre. Dragonflies Montessori School is fully accredited by the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB).
