Children Have Fun Raising Money for Children in Need

Children at St Mary’s School
At St Mary’s School the children donated £1 to come to school dressed as superheroes or in home clothes. They also had a cake sale in which all proceeds were donated to Children in Need. Total amount raised was: £237.01.
Children at Badgemore School paid a donation too not to wear their uniform and as the school is undergoing major building works and have lots of building contractors on site – they charged each time a member of the team needed to enter the building they had to buy a visitors badge. There were a few! They raised just under £100.
At Rupert House School, both children and adults had a wonderful day. Lower School children dressed up as ‘Superheroes’, and our Upper School girls chose to dress up as their interpretation of ‘superheroes’, the adults in Rupert House. Some staff donned school uniform. The School Council is delighted to announce that a wonderful total of £374.28 has been raised so far for Children in Need.
Tim Coulson, Headteacher at Valley Road School said, “Valley Road School held a Super-hero day in support of Children in Need. As usual there was a remarkable amount of creativity in the outfits children created. Thanks to their efforts we managed to raise over £500! A huge thank you to all parents, pupils and staff who made it such as special day.”
