Henley Air Cadets Needs YOU!!

Provost

The squadron has several events already lined up – not least among them, the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race which will pass by our watch at Marsh Lock at Easter.
Yes, Easter, when all the girls and boys are usually stuffing themselves with chocolate and hot cross buns, Henley Air Cadets will be out till the wee small hours making sure canoeists negotiate the lock safely and have their times recorded.
We have also been asked (again) to help at the Henley Show, with Henley in Bloom, and to provide help to our estimable friends in the Royal British Legion for various ceremonial duties. Our pleasure, as always, to help.
Many of these activities require more bodies than, at present, we are able to throw at them, so this is an appeal direct to local schools and particularly years 8,9 and 10 (Chiltern Edge, Piggotts and Gillots alert!!).
If you are interested in sport, camping , adventure training, leadership challenges, shooting, music, Duke of Edinburgh and, of course, flying and gliding, look up Henley Air Cadets (447 squadron) and give us call or come down.
It’s a challenge it’s fun and (mostly) free.
So any parents from Henley or the surrounding areas looking in, any friends of friends, aunties, uncles, second cousins twice removed etc. etc. (you get the idea) TELL PEOPLE. Please. I can be contacted any time. Don’t be shy, I don’t bite!
