Hannah Bradbury from Gillotts School has been selected for the GB Aerobic Gymnastic squad for the second year running. Aerobic Gymnastics is a fast paced, dynamic, dance based style of gymnastics. Gymnasts wear trainers and perform choreographed routines set to music, on a sprung wooden floor. These routines can be performed as an individual, in a trio, or in a team of 5.
Hannah had an amazing year in 2014, representing GB in competitions in Bulgaria and Mexico. She competed in a “5 team” event, and they ended the competition year with a ranking of 8th in the world in their age group. She is off to an international competition in Slovakia during the Easter holidays.
This year Hannah will be representing GB in a 5 team event, a trio event, and also, as an individual; the later Hannah said, “Competing individually holds the most prestige and the one I am most thrilled about!”
Hannah trains 5 times a week at Bulmershe gym club, and has GB training on top of this once a month, a huge commitment for her and her family. Her Mum Emma said, “We’re very proud of Hannah and it is definitely worth all the commitment.”
