Mill Meadows was filled with music, Morris Dancers, fairgound rides and stalls for the annual Round Table May Fair yesterday (Monday) in the sunshine, for everyone to enjoy.

Residents and visitors also had fun betting on the popular ferret racing (back for the 3rd year) which was organised by Starescue STA Ferret charity from Reading who rehome, strays, dumped or neglected ferrets.

Local groups and charities had stalls including Henley Lions who were selling sunflowers and a tombola to win a cute cuddly lion.  Both children and adults alike enjoyed the Swingball at the Henley Tennis Club stall who were also offering the chance to win a new tennis racket.  St John’s Ambulance, RNLI, Sea and Army Cadets also had stalls.

The Round Table beer tent was doing a roaring trade of beers and Pimms. They would like to thank Wilkins of Henley for sponsoring the event.

Grace from Valley Road School was crowned the May Queen (pictured above) with runners-up Charlotte and Xanthie.
