Charity Quiz at Sue Ryder with Henley Literary Festival

Joyce Grove - Sue Ryder Nettlebed

The Henley Literary Festival and Sue Ryder are teaming up to host a charity quiz evening on Friday June 12th. The event will take place in a marquee in the gardens of Sue Ryder’s iconic Joyce Grove estate in Nettlebed. The quiz – to be hosted by Bird in the Hand quizmasters Andy Tucker and Chris Spencer – is entitled Bond & Beyond: The best of British art, books, current affairs, film, food, history, music, sport and more.

With all profits going to Sue Ryder, tables for up to eight people are available at £150, with individual places for £20. Ticket price includes supper (chilli con carne or vegetarian chilli) from Royal caterers CH&CO, a glass of Laithwaite’s Wine on arrival and a chance to explore the grounds where a young Ian Fleming played when visiting his grandfather and where Benedict Cumberbatch recently filmed The Imitation Game.

Tom Ryan, Henley Literary Festival programming director, commented: “After a sell-out for our first quiz last year we are delighted to once again be joining with Sue Ryder, who do such terrific work. It’s a rare opportunity to have an event of this kind at this fantastic venue and I know it will be a fun evening for all, winners or not!”

Drinks and dinner from 7pm will be followed by the quiz at 8pm. Book your place(s) by calling 01491 575948 or emailing holly@henleyliteraryfestival.co.uk.
