Grandparents of children at Valley Road School enjoyed a lovely afternoon of tea, cake and scones plus entertainment by the children.

Each class performed something different and included Reception class children who dressed up as mini-beasts and sang ‘There’s a worm at the bottom of my garden’, Year 1 dressed up as Dinosaurs and did a Dinosaur Romp and Year 2 performed a Grandparents riddle with Dulcie being a very ‘Mad Granny’.

Many of the grandparents said afterwards, “The children were really great and it was lovely to see their confidence when they performing.”

Tim Coulson, Headteacher said, “This is now an annual event at the school and its fantastic to see both the children and the grandparents have such a grat time.”
