Henley-Leichlingen Twinning Association will be hosting their first event of the Autumn season when Malcolm Page will be giving an illustrated talk on the subject of the Battle of Waterloo on Tuesday 15th September at 8pm in the Margaret Day Room (Kings Barn). .
Malcolm will cover Napoleon’s “escape” from Elba, the events leading up to the battle, the battle itself including the role of British, Hanoverian and Prussian troups and end with some thoughts on how the battle was won and how it was lost. The talk will be in two halves and refreshments will be available. Donations to cover costs would be welcomed.

In conjunction with the Henley Falaise Twinning Association. This will take place in the Margaret Day Room. We plan to hold a quiz as last year, with the addition of cheese and wine tasting rounds. 4 December – Christmas Market
There will be a Leichlingen Twinning stall when they will be selling Gluhwein and traditional German Christmas cake and biscuits.
26-29 May 2015 – Visit from Leichlingers to Henley
