In the lead up to Easter school children in Henley have been enjoying Hot Cross Bun and Easter Egg Tesco Farm to Fork workshops.  As well as learning about the history of hot cross buns, the children tasted the ingredients and learnt out they were made.    Feathers, glitter, ribbons and stickers were all on offer for the children at the egg decorating workshops.

Ali Simmons Community Champion for Tesco said, “After the amazing success of the Christingle making in schools at Christmas it was great to again see so many children taking part once again but this time for the Easter Farm to Fork activities.  All schools in Henley were offered the chance to have me come in to run Hot Cross Bun or Easter Egg Decorating workshops.  Stoke Row, Valley Road, Nettlebed Community, Badgemore and Shiplake Primary Schools were all able to take part.  Over 800 children have been involved in learning about the history of hot cross buns and how they are made and why we have Eggs at Easter. It has been brilliant fun!! I’m not sure who had more fun me or the children.”
